What Makes a One-Time Link Different

Regular links point to resources that remain available indefinitely. A shared Google Doc, a Dropbox file, or a Pastebin URL can be accessed repeatedly by anyone who has the link. This creates risk: the content can be bookmarked, cached by browsers, indexed by search engines, or accessed by unintended third parties.

A one-time link from SneakNote works differently. The content is encrypted and stored temporarily. The first person to open the link sees the decrypted content, and at that moment the server permanently deletes it. Any subsequent visit to the same URL returns a notice that the note has already been viewed. There is no cache, no backup, and no recovery option.
